It seems like once a month some major publication shares a report that sitting at your desk will cause you TO DIE A PAINFUL EARLY DEATH. And because we don’t want to die a painful early death, many of us here at KindHealth have standing desks. Well, actually we have standing origami from Chairigami.

But Chairigami isn’t the only affordable standing desk on the scene. Here are some of our favorite standing desks that don’t cost an arm and a leg.

Not only are Chairigami’s products inexpensive, but they’re easy to assemble. Their standing desks come in three different sizes- 38″, 42″ and 44″- and will run you about $165. But if you want something a little cheaper, we use the topper ($55) on top of our already existing boring desks. As you can tell, Chairigami is pretty no frills, but I’m typing on one AS WE SPEAK, and it works great.

Similar to Chairigami, Oristand’s standing desk is made of cardboard, but is offered at the much lower price of $25. Also unique to Oristand’s standing desk is that it has two levels- one for storing your keyboard and mouse and one for storing your computer- and you can easily fold it back up, unlike Chairigami.

ReadyDesk is made from birchwood and can be adjusted depending on your height. Made in California, these stylish standing desks will run you about $169 and can store two monitors if needed.

If you want a fancy, remote-controlled standing desk, you can customize one from StandDesk for under $500 (most remote-controlled standing desks will cost you well over $1,000). StandDesk also offers some pretty sweet add-ons including a 12-port power strip and anti-fatigue mat.
